Media and Eligibility
Fine artists and crafts people working in ceramics,
fiber, photography, jewelry, wood, glass, painting and
mixed media. All work must be original design and execution
by the applying exhibitior. No commercial molds, kits,
imports or country crafts. All work must be represented
in the slides.
Jurying
Four images are viewed simultaneously and judged on
basis of originality, craftsmanship design and quality.
Good quality images are essential. No images of your
booth accepted. All jury decisions are final.
Entry Instructions
Submit digital images for review
Digital—Digital—submit a CD.When I open the CD I should see a single folder on it; the folder is titled with your media first then your name. For example paintingsmith. When I click on the folder I will find four jpeg images inside. The jpeg images will be named similarly but will also contain a number which corresponds to the written description of work and processes on the application. for example, paintingsmith1.jpeg, paintingsmith2.jpeg, paintingsmith3.jpeg, paintingsmith4.jpeg. Write your full name and media on CD itself in marker.
2. Application must include brief description of artwork
process(es) for each enclosed image. Please use application form.
3. Send images, application, fees and envelope with return postage for notification letters.
Note: The committee has the right to refuse an artist
who does not comply with the entry requirements.
Fees
Enclose a separate check or money order for each fee.
Jury and exhibitor fees must accompany slides/CD. Make
checks payable to the Park Point Community Club.
Jury Fee
$15 non-refundable and deposited on receipt.
Exhibitor and Park Users
Fee
$185—this fee will be returned if applicant is
not accepted.
Accepted exhibitor fees will be cashed on April 20,
20011.
Cancellation Fee
Your booth will be refunded less $50 ntil 6/1/11. After
6/1/11, exhibitor fees will not be refunded. Applications
are due March 1, 2011. Notifications will be mailed
April 15, 2011.
Installation and Display
Participants must provide their own display materials
and make their own rain plan arrangements. An exhibition
space of approximately 10x10 will be assigned to each
person. Displays must be set up by 9 a.m. Saturday and
Sunday. Artists juried into the art fair must stay for
the entire fair.
Awards
Cash rewards of $100 and an original art work willl
be given in each of the following categories: ceramics,
fiber, jewelry, wood, glass, photography, painting and
sculpture. There will also be a $300 Best of Show Award.
Award winners are waived for the 2011 jury process,
but not the exhibitor fee.
